Call for Papers
2025 (2nd) Contemporary Topics on Financial Markets
July 3-4, 2025 (China Standard Time)
Host: Capital University of Economics and Business
Capital University of Economics and Business, School of Finance will host an international conference on “Contemporary Topics on Financial Markets” on July 3-4, 2025 (China standard time) in Beijing, China. We sincerely welcome you to join us in Beijing this summer. The submission deadline is March 31st, 2025, Eastern standard time (April 1st, 2025, China standard time).
The conference aims to promote research broadly related to financial markets around the world. All finance subjects will be considered. Potential research topics include but are not limited to the following:
Asset pricing
Banking
Behavioral finance
Corporate finance and governance
Credit risk and liquidity risk
Derivatives
Digital finance
Financial literacy and personal finance
FinTech and machine learning, artificial intelligence, and big data
Green/climate/weather risk and finance
Household finance
International finance
Mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, pension funds and institutional investors
Others

Paper Submission: Please submit a pdf file without author information via the submission website https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/CTFM2025. The submission deadline is March 31st, 2025, Eastern standard time (April 1st, 2025, China standard time). Papers will be anonymously reviewed by multiple members of the Program Committee. Authors of accepted papers are expected to be available to serve as session chairs or discussants. In addition to the conference, a selected number of papers will be encouraged to submit to the Financial Review (FR) with the regular one-time submission fee of $175.
The Financial Review
The Conference Organizing Committee will choose selected papers from those presented at the conference to be considered for publication at The Financial Review (FR). These papers will go through a blind review process. This is a “no-fault” submission option, which means that if the FR decides to review the paper and rejects it, the author(s) can submit the paper to the FR through the normal submission process. Papers submitted must not be under review at any journals.
Conference Registration
The registration fee for the conference is USD150 (or RMB 1,100) for doctoral students and USD200 (or RMB 1,500) for other participants. The registration fee is waived for session chairs and discussants who do not have a paper in the program.
